Jell-O Layer

Ingredient Quantity
Black cherry Jell-O mix 1 box (6 oz)
Boiling water 1 cup
Cold water 1/2 cup

Creamy Base

Ingredient Quantity
Cream cheese, softened 8 oz
Sweetened condensed milk 1 can (14 oz)
Cold whipped topping 1 cup

Mix-Ins and Upgrades

Ingredient Quantity
Sliced peaches or mandarin oranges, drained 1 can (15 oz)
Chopped pecans or maraschino cherries 1/2 cup
Almond extract 1 dash

Instructions

Step 1: Dissolve and Partial-Set
Pour the boiling water over the black cherry Jell-O mix and stir for about 2 minutes until fully dissolved. Add the cold water and refrigerate for 15–20 minutes, until the mixture thickens to a syrupy consistency but is not fully set.

Step 2: Make the Creamy Base
In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and fluffy. Gradually blend in the sweetened condensed milk until completely smooth. Gently fold in the whipped topping until light and airy.

Step 3: Create the Marbled Effect
Pour the thickened Jell-O into the cream cheese mixture. Fold gently with a spatula, stopping before the colors fully combine to create a marbled appearance.

Step 4: Add Fruit and Chill
Fold in the drained peaches or mandarin oranges. Transfer the mixture to a 9×9-inch pan, glass bowl, or decorative mold. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, until fully set.

Step 5: Garnish and Serve
Serve well chilled. Top individual portions with whipped cream, a cherry, or chopped pecans for added texture and presentation.
