Cajun-Infused Shrimp Scampi

Ingredients:

  • 12 raw shrimps (quantity as desired)
  • 1 serving of linguine pasta
  • 2 cloves of minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream
  • Grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/8 teaspoon of basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Flour (for thickening)
  • Cajun seasoning
  • 1/4 cup of parsley
  • White wine (not shown)
  • Olive oil (not shown)
Cajun-Infused Shrimp Scampi

Directions:

  1. Heat a saucepan over medium-high heat. Add butter, a drizzle of olive oil, and a dash of white wine. Bring it to a boil.
  2. Incorporate minced garlic and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  3. Introduce the shrimps to the pan.
  4. Generously season the shrimps with Cajun seasoning to your liking. Once pink on one side, flip and cook for another minute. Remove the shrimps, leaving the liquid.
  5. Add heavy cream, basil, parsley, salt, and pepper.
  6. Bring the mixture to a boil, whisking in sprinkles of flour until the sauce thickens.
  7. Reduce heat to medium-low and reintroduce the shrimps.
  8. Toss the shrimps to coat with the sauce and serve over pasta. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
