Turn the iconic Philly cheesesteak into a crunchy, handheld delight with these Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls. Filled with seasoned ground beef, sautéed peppers and onions, and melty American cheese, these golden, crispy rolls are perfect as an appetizer, party snack, or game-day treat.

Ingredients

Ingredient Quantity
Ground beef 1 pound
Worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon
Salt 1/2 teaspoon
Ground black pepper 1/2 teaspoon
Butter 2 tablespoons
Yellow onion, chopped 1
Green bell pepper, chopped 1/2
Egg roll wrappers 24
American cheese, sliced 12
Vegetable oil (for frying) 3/4 cup

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Beef
Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, keeping it in small, pea-sized chunks rather than breaking it completely apart. Cook until browned, about 5–7 minutes. Drain any excess grease. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper, then remove the mixture from the skillet and let it cool slightly.

Step 2: Sauté the Vegetables
In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add chopped onion and bell pepper, cooking until softened and lightly browned, about 5–7 minutes. Return the cooked beef to the skillet and mix with the vegetables. Remove from heat and allow the filling to cool slightly while preparing the wrappers.

Step 3: Assemble the Egg Rolls
Lay the egg roll wrappers on a flat surface. Place half a slice of American cheese in the center of each wrapper, then top with approximately 3 tablespoons of the beef and vegetable mixture. Fold the bottom corner up over the filling, tuck in the side corners, moisten the edges with water, and roll tightly to seal.

Step 4: Fry the Egg Rolls
Pour vegetable oil into a large skillet or saucepan to a depth of about 1 inch. Heat over medium-high. Fry 3–4 egg rolls at a time, making sure not to overcrowd the pan, for 3–4 minutes, turning once until golden and crisp. Allow the oil to return to temperature before frying additional batches.

Step 5: Serve and Enjoy
Serve these crispy Philly Cheesesteak Egg Rolls warm with ketchup, cheese sauce, or your favorite dipping sauce. They’re best enjoyed fresh, straight from the pan.
