Fudgy Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Granulated sugar 1 cup (200g/7 oz)
Brown sugar, lightly packed 1 cup (200g/7 oz)
Eggs, at room temperature 3 large
Cocoa powder ¾ cup (75g/2.6 oz)
All-purpose flour 1 cup (120g/4.2 oz)
Salt 1 tsp (6g/0.2 oz)
Dark chocolate chips 1.5 cups (260g/9.2 oz)
Unsalted butter, melted 1 cup (225g/7.9 oz)
Coffee 1 Tbsp (15ml)
Vanilla extract 1 Tbsp (15ml)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper, making sure it covers the sides for easy removal.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter and coffee (or use vanilla extract if you prefer). Whisk in the granulated and brown sugars until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking thoroughly after each addition until the mixture is silky and well combined.
  4. Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Stir gently until just combined—don’t overmix. Fold in chocolate chips or chunks, and nuts if using, until evenly distributed.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Optionally, sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top for an extra indulgent touch.
  6. Bake for about 30 minutes, or until the center is set but still fudgy. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before lifting them out using the parchment. Slice and serve.

These fudgy chocolate brownies have a crisp exterior and a molten chocolate center, making every bite irresistible. Perfect for sharing, gifting, or enjoying with a glass of milk.
