My boyfriend grew up in Kentucky so when came across this recipe looking for a bday treat I knew I had to try this recipe

If you’re searching for a melt-in-your-mouth cookie that’s buttery, nutty, and perfectly sweet, these Buttery Pecan Snowball Cookies are a must. Perfect for birthdays, holidays, or anytime you crave a sweet treat.

Buttery Pecan Snowball Cookies

Ingredients:

Ingredient Quantity
Butter, softened 2 sticks
Powdered sugar 1 1/2 cups
Vanilla extract 2 teaspoons
Salt Pinch
All-purpose flour 2 1/4 cups
Finely chopped pecans 1 cup

How To Make Buttery Pecan Snowball Cookies:

Step 1: Preheat Oven
Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Step 2: Make the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, 1/2 cup powdered sugar, vanilla extract, salt, and all-purpose flour. Beat with a mixer until you have a smooth, cohesive dough.

Step 3: Fold in Pecans
Gently fold in the finely chopped pecans until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Step 4: Shape and Bake
Slightly wet your hands and roll the dough into 36 evenly sized balls, about 1 inch each. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 12 minutes, or until the bottoms are lightly golden.

Step 5: Cool and Coat in Sugar
Allow the cookies to cool completely on the baking sheet. Place the remaining 1 cup of powdered sugar in a shallow bowl and roll the cooled cookies until fully coated. For an extra “snowy” finish, roll them a second time after the first coating has set for a few minutes.

Step 6: Serve
Serve these tender, buttery pecan cookies to friends and family, or enjoy them yourself with a cup of coffee or tea.
