How To Make No Bake Chocolate Oat Bars

  1. Prepare the pan
Grease a 9×9-inch square baking pan.
  2. Cook the oats
Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar and vanilla extract. Add oats and cook on low for 2–3 minutes, until well combined and lightly toasted.
  3. Press the base
Press half of the oat mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Save the remaining half for the topping.
  4. Make the filling
Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter together in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth. Spread evenly over the pressed oat base.
  5. Add the topping
Crumble the reserved oat mixture over the chocolate layer, pressing gently without compacting.
  6. Chill and serve
Cover and refrigerate for 2–3 hours or overnight until fully set. Allow the bars to warm slightly before cutting into squares and enjoying.
