French Yogurt Cake
Ingredients:

For the Cake:

Ingredient Quantity
All-purpose flour 1 1/2 cups
Baking powder 2 teaspoons
Fine salt 1/4 teaspoon
Granulated sugar 1 cup
Greek yogurt, room temperature 1 cup
Vegetable oil 1/2 cup
Large eggs, room temperature 3
Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon

For the Frosting:

Ingredient Quantity
Cream cheese, softened 6 ounces
Greek yogurt, room temperature 1 cup
Powdered sugar 1 to 1 1/2 cups
Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
Strawberries For garnish (optional)

Instructions:

To Make the Cake

  1. Preheat & Prep: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan with baking spray and line the bottom with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a separate large bowl, whisk sugar, Greek yogurt, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla until smooth and fully combined.
  4. Combine: Slowly add the dry ingredients into the wet, whisking gently until the batter is smooth with no dry streaks. Avoid overmixing.
  5. Bake: Pour the batter into the pan and spread evenly. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs.
  6. Cool: Let the cake rest in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. For a flat surface, level the top with a serrated knife once cooled.

To Make the Frosting

  1. Beat Cream Cheese: With an electric mixer, beat softened cream cheese until silky and lump-free, about 2–3 minutes.
  2. Add Yogurt & Sugar: Gradually mix in Greek yogurt, powdered sugar (start with 1 cup and adjust to taste), and vanilla extract. Beat until light, fluffy, and creamy.
  3. Frost & Garnish: Once the cake is fully cooled, spread the frosting generously over the top. Add fresh strawberries or your favorite berries for a beautiful finishing touch.

Enjoy every bite of this moist, tangy, and refreshing French Yogurt Cake—proof that simple ingredients can create a truly show-stopping dessert.
